ABOUT
Blockheads Workshop was established in 2019, when three lifelong friends found themselves sharing their daydreams and developing them into written stories. As Blockheads, we don’t just put pen to paper with the desire to create something readable—we create ethereal experiences that transform a room into a ship adrift upon a foreign and frosty sea or a couch into a cramped seat on a train steaming toward a dark mountain tunnel.
Each story contains an untouched world that’s been written to life, every page ready to immerse you in something you’ve never experienced until this very moment. So, what are you waiting for? Stretch the book wide until the spine crinkles, breathe deep, and . . .
dive in.

MISSION
Did you know C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien were part of a writers' group called The Inklings?
Of course you did. Still, writing solo can be tough—and writer’s block feels like an insurmountable wall when you’re standing in front of it. But when you exchange ideas and collaborate with other creative minds, those same walls turn into stepping stones. Believe us, we’ve been there only to discover that iron still sharpens iron.
Let our tricks help you skip the headaches and make your journey not just productive, but truly fulfilling.
1. Exchange Tips
2. Inspire Others
3. Shape The World
A single sentence scribbled in a moment of inspiration can spark your next great story. From pocket notepads to voice memos, from meditating on a character’s arc to reenacting a scene where your protagonist is drunk (and yes, we enjoy a bit of method writing), we chase ideas wherever they lead.
We’ve learned through real, albeit ridiculous, trial and error. That’s part of it. It’s not about chasing perfection—it’s about showing up, getting sharper, and staying in motion. And each time, the path gets a little straighter. So skip the hiccups, bring your boldest ideas, and let’s write something unforgettable together.
We gather in groups of 3–5, meeting on the first Friday of every month. Each session follows a simple, intentional structure designed to set the framework for the creative spirit. We share progress, offer feedback, and ignite new ideas in story jams where momentum thrives. We also critique recent films and books to spark perspective-shifting conversations.
Whether your goal is to see your story on the big screen, in your local library, or passed down as a folktale long after you’re gone, it all begins the same way; someone writes it down one page at a time. That’s how we write, too.
Have you ever felt the weight of “Here’s looking at you, kid” in Casablanca—or scratched your head at a story’s ending (we’re looking at you, Game of Thrones)? Good stories shape culture. The best can lift—or break—the world.
That’s where we come in.
Our goal is to immerse you in new landscapes, give you goosebumps, jump scare you sometimes, and leave you inspired enough to act like a character for a little while (you know what we mean).
When you see the Blockheads’ stamp, know it was crafted and critiqued with care. Because great stories deserve great stewardship.

BEHIND BLUE EYES
By Sean Nasta
Synthia’s apartment is her sanctuary, a place where every detail is under control and the unpredictable world is kept at bay. But as her isolation deepens and anxiety tightens its grip, even she begins to question her hold on reality. After persistent phone calls from her sister, she reluctantly agrees to adopt a pet to ease her nerves. At the shelter, she locks eyes with a silent, ivory-coated cat—calm, still, and uncannily familiar. Their bond is immediate. As they grow on each other, comfort slowly gives way to something deeper, and far more unsettling.
FINAL MILE
By Sean Nasta
Some roads you run for fitness. Others, to escape something. For one man, his favorite evening route became more than a routine. When he met another runner, quiet and steady, the miles melted away with easy company and idle talk. But when a name slips and a tragic past resurfaces, the jogger realizes he's not just running with someone—he’s running from something. And on this stretch of road, the finish line isn’t where he thought it was.
THE PARKING LOT WAS EMPTY
By Sean Nasta
Every night, Sharon crosses the same empty parking lot after work. It’s always empty—she knows this. And yet, she can’t shake the feeling that something is watching, that something ancient stirs just beyond the veil of asphalt and silence. When laughter and music begin to echo where there should be none, Sharon is pulled into a world both beautiful and dangerous. To resist is madness. To join the dance may cost her everything.
